Wadam-Vill Kft. (hereinafter: the Data Controller) as the operator of www.doversolution.com and the DoverCheck mobile application, hereby publishes the following Privacy Policy. This document explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant Hungarian laws, particularly Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information.

1. Specific Data Processing Activities

a) Purchasing via Webshop

  • Data processed: Full name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address.

  • Purpose: Order processing, delivery, invoicing, and customer communication.

  • Legal basis: Performance of contract between the User and the Controller (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

  • Retention period: 8 years, based on Section 169(2) of the Hungarian Accounting Act (Act C of 2000).


b) Contact and Customer Support

  • Data processed: Name, email address, phone number, content of the message.

  • Purpose: Responding to inquiries, handling complaints, and customer support.

  • Legal basis: User’s consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) and legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) to maintain effective customer support.

  • Retention period: Until the case is resolved, but no longer than 90 days unless otherwise required by law.


c) Use of DoverCheck Mobile Application

  • Data processed:

    • Hardware ID (HWID)

    • Wi-Fi identifier (only temporarily for pairing; not stored)

    • Barcode scan data

    • Age verification responses (yes/no)

    • App version and crash logs

    • Location data for Wi-Fi (only if permitted by the user)

  • Purpose: Enable communication between the app and hardware, maintain functionality, and improve services.

  • Legal basis: Performance of contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) for diagnostics and service improvement.

  • Retention period:

    • App logs and device info: retained for max 30 days

    • Barcode and verification data: regularly anonymized or deleted

  • Names: Magyar Posta Zrt. (MPL),  GLS General Logistics Systems Hungary Kft.
